ANNOUNCEMENT!!
Our next dog ready for placement!!

MEET Foxy Lady

Foxy is about 3½ years old. We adopted her in October, 2004 as a very rambunctious youth. Since then we have worked extensively with her to get her to a level where she is able to do the work necessary to be a good Assistance Dog. (In other words, she has been a puppy for a very long time!) She has rounded out to be a very good dog and it is time to find a permanent placement for her.

There are some definite things we will be looking at as we find a placement for her. First, Foxy is quite the lover and is great at lavishing her kisses on those she adores. Whomever she goes to is going to have to enjoy the affections of a dog. Second, she needs to be with someone who is active. She needs a regular exercise schedule, especially before she is taken into public places, so it is important that she be matched with someone who can take her out for walks as part of their routine. It is our belief that she will work nicely with someone in a wheelchair as she is a great retriever. We have found her to be very easy to train for a variety of things and we feel is will be easy to task train to the specific needs of an individual.

We are hoping to find a client for her and have team training done real soon...

If you are interested in applying for her, our application involves a three step process. First is to download, read, fill out and return our pre-applicaion package. Second is to submit our full application and finally we will schedule an in-person interview with you.
You must live within a 3 hour driving distance from Oroville, Ca.

The pre-application can be accessed from the link on the left margin of this page.
