Puppy Socialization: Nothing beats watching puppies growing up! Nor can anything be as devastating! Come get the tools you need to have a happy, healthy puppy and a household under control at the same time. This class provides a source of socialization as well as a basic manners and commands. I will hold this class any time I have 4 interested parties. Puppy socialization is 5 weekly 1 hour classes for $40.

Basic Obedience: My basic obedience class covers all the basic commands and maneuvers including: sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, stand, heel, loose leash walking and come. We also work on correcting and resolving behavior problems. I offer the course over 6 weeks, 1 hour a week. You are invited to attend my first class FREE of charge with no obligation. If you choose to continue the class, the cost is $60.00. Class size is limited and is first come, first served. [sign up]

Agility: I am assembling an agility course. The intent is to open up new ways for dog owners to have fun with their dogs. I am not anticipating teaching this sport to the level of competition, but rather to provide a place to come to learn about and enjoy using the equipment. This sport is great for building confidence in a dog and is a wonderful tool that I use with my Assistance Dogs in training. Since I have the equipment, I am willing to share it and what knowledge I have of the sport.
Prerequisite - Basic Obedience

Flyball: This is a sport I am looking forward to learning about. Depending on the ability to meet the space requirements, look for this sport to be added to the available things to do at the K-9 Kompound in the near future.

"Dog Day Afternoon": A fundraising event for K-9 Crossroads that will feature "Everything Dog!!" Plans are to hold this event in the spring (before it gets too hot) and in the Fall (before it gets too cold). Activities to include demonstrations, doggie craft faire, agility and "Canine Good Citizen" testing and possibly flyball events. If you are interested in finding out more of even helping put one of these events together, please email us at:
